Transparent scoring model for enrichment programs in Singapore
The Trust Index is a transparent scoring model that evaluates enrichment centres based on quality, safety, fit, value, and freshness. This model helps parents make informed decisions based on objective criteria rather than marketing claims.
| Criterion | Weight | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Quality | 30% | Instructor qualifications, curriculum structure, learning outcomes |
| Safety | 25% | Safety protocols, facility standards, supervision ratios |
| Fit | 20% | Age appropriateness, class size, individual attention |
| Value | 15% | Price transparency, program duration, materials included |
| Freshness | 10% | Recent reviews, updated information, active programs |
Quality measures the educational and developmental value of the program.
Safety evaluates the physical and emotional well-being protocols in place.
Fit assesses how well the program matches individual child needs.
Value measures the return on investment for families.
Freshness indicates how current and actively maintained the program is.
Each criterion is scored on a scale of 0-100, then weighted according to the percentages above. The final Trust Index score is calculated as:
Trust Index Score = (Quality × 0.30) + (Safety × 0.25) + (Fit × 0.20) + (Value × 0.15) + (Freshness × 0.10)
| Score Range | Rating | Description |
